Welcome to tsRNADisease v1.0

tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNA) are a new class of small non-coding RNA that originates from mature tRNA or tRNA precursors. tsRNA typically falls into two categories: tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs) and tRNA-halves. tRFs can be further classified into five types based on their cleavage sites: tRF-1, tRF-3, tRF-5, tRF-2, and i-tRF, while tRNA-halves can be categorized as 5'-tiRNA and 3'-tiRNA according to their corresponding mature tRNA sequences. Increasing evidence has highlighted the critical roles of tsRNAs in a broad range of biological processes and are associated with plenty of diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegeneration disease. Here, we present the tsRNADisease database to deposit tsRNA-disease association information curated from literatures and other resources. Current version of tsRNADisease integrates 5571 experimentally validated tsRNA-disease association entries between 4759 tsRNAs and 166 diseases. Besides, 5013 additional predicted tsRNA-disease associations between 1297 tsRNAs and 111 diseases are also integrated.
tsRNADisease presents detailed and comprehensive annotation to the associations between tsRNAs and diseases. A credibility level is provided for each entry by evaluation of the description from the evidences of genetic, epigenetic and other experimental validation. Overall, this database will be a valuable resource for exploration of the relationships between tsRNAs and diseases.
